The “Pride” of Port Charlotte Marching Band

The “Pride” of Port Charlotte Marching Band operates during the fall of the year and is composed of members from within the “Pride.” The “Pride” of Port Charlotte Marching Band has established an impressive and enviable record of accomplishment during its 25 year history. The marching band has become known for its musical quality and exciting performances locally and throughout the state of Florida. As a member of the Florida Bandmasters Association, the “Pride” has received an overall Superior rating at the FBA District Marching evaluation for 24 of its 26 year existence. In competitive events, the “Pride” has been awarded over 500 placement, caption, and championship trophies. The marching band has represented Port Charlotte High School throughout the United States and Europe. Performances have included: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City; The Cotton Bowl National Marching Championships and New Year’s Day Parade in Dallas, Texas; The Fiesta Bowl Classic and Field Championships in Phoenix, Arizona; the Lord Mayor’s New Years Day Parade in London, England; The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade; and The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City.
