The Symphony Winds

Consisting of our youngest and less experienced students, the Symphony Winds is a fully instrumented performance ensemble. The Symphony Winds has received an overall Superior Rating at the FBA district festival for the last Five years. Membership also includes band students who are planning on continuing their musical education at the collegiate level and are mastering secondary instruments. In the Spring of 2007, the Symphony Winds joined the Wind Ensemble and Wind Orchestra representing PCHS at the FBA State Music festival. .In addition to FBA sanctioned festivals; the Symphonic band performs Fall and Winter concerts, a Salute to America Concert and participates in the annual “Colors of Sound” Spring performance. Membership is through placement by the Director of Bands. Emphasis is placed on developing musical and technical proficiency, along with developing the skills necessary to become future leaders within the “Pride.”
